Frequently Asked Questions:

What documents do I need to sell my car?
Answer:  Driver's license, Registration and Title (if you have it), safety check, balance on your vehicle and name and account # of the lender (if financed)

How long does it normally take to sell my car?
Answer:  3-5 weeks on average (with our recommended pricing)

How long does it take to get paid after you sell my car?
Answer:  After funding is secured, you should receive a check within 3 business days.  If there is a lien, we will have to get the title from your lender before we can pay you.

Can I cancel the insurance on my car when I consign it with you?
Answer:  Sorry, please keep your insurance on your car until it is sold.

Do I have final say over the price my car will sell for?
Answer:  Yes, we will bring you the offer and you can accept, decline or counter the offer. 

Can I stop in anytime and consign my vehicle with you?
Answer:  Yes, feel free to stop in.  However, to assure we can take care of you promptly, it's better to call or email us and set up an appointment.

Can I still consign my car with you if:

    My car was in an accident?
    Answer: YES, as long as the accident was minor and repaired professionally.  (Auto Mart USA             will at time of consignment run a CarFax report which will give us a complete history of your                 vehicle.)

    My car has a branded title?
    Answer:  Sorry, we do not sell vehicles with branded titles

    My car as altered mileage or TMU (True Mileage Unknown)?
    Answer:  Sorry, we do not sell vehicles with unverifiable mileage but may be able to assist you in         finding other options to sell your vehicle

    My car frame has been damaged and repaired?
    Answer:  Sorry, we do not sell vehicles with frame damage, but may be able to assist you in                 finding other options to sell your vehicle

    I am moving out of state or the country?
    Answer:  YES, we will just need your new contact information and a forwarding address to send             you final paperwork

    I have a lien/loan/lease on my car?
    Answer:  YES, we will call and get a 10-day payoff and make the payoff for you

After agreeing to consign my car with Auto Mart USA, what happens if:

    Someone offers less than I want for my vehicle?
    Answer: We will bring all offers to you and you can accept or decline them.  We do screen the             offers and won't bring you anything that isn't a reasonable offer.
   

    If you don't get any calls or interest on my vehicle?
    Answer: If your vehicle isn't generating any interest, we will advise you on what we believe you             should do.  We will be monitoring responses weekly and will keep you up-to-date on how your             vehicle is faring in the marketplace.

    I decide I want to sell my car myself before the consignment agreement has expired?
    Answer:  There is no binding contract, so as long as there are no pending sales on your vehicle or         outstanding fees or service work payments, we will terminate your agreement.
