1 star is too many, original owner, and dealer serviced regularly at South Shore BMW - 2016 X3 diesel brought in for service on July 13, 2022. I informed the dealer that the car had twice in the last 6 months called for "low engine coolant" which was topped off both times - using BMW-compatible coolant. The most recent time was on a 7 hour trip over the 4th of July weekend. I thought it was odd as I have never experienced this with any car - low coolant usually would be a line leaking, radiator leaking, or head gasket -all noticeable odor or performance. Service checked the car, pressure tested it, charged me $200.13 for the service, told me there was an open recall on the car, gave it back to me & said they couldn't find anything wrong. The open recall # 21V-907 is for EGR Cooler. The EGR cooler can develop an internal leak (of engine coolant) which can cause a risk of fire. Well guess what, 9 days later- 7/22/2022, my wife was driving the car on the highway, drivetrain error messages on the dash, reduced power messages on dash, she pulls over to side of road, smoke starts coming from hood, vehicle is on fire. Fire department arrives to put it out, car is totalled. Engine compartment completely destroyed, windshield blew out, 3 windows blew out, fortunately she was not hurt. Within 2 hours of the fire I contacted the dealership & spoke with the service advisor that worked with the last visit. I was instructed to contact BMW corporate & file a claim with them. The contact at corporate insisted I file a claim with my insurance - I told him, this has nothing to do with my insurance. BMW & dealership doing everything possible to avoid taking responsibility. Terrible experience both with corporate & everyone at the dealership. I met with Avery - the dealership GM to ask for help with corporate & and be reimbursed for the $200.13 service bill. I did finally get a check for the $200.13, help with corporate's process never occurred. If you want this kind of service, you are at the right dealership I'm not sure about the ultimate driving experience, not the 1st or only bmw owned but certainly last. If you own a BMW, I suggest you google BMW fires - you will be surprised As a follow up: 1- I wrote the review 2.5 months after the incident to allow BMW & dealership to make situation right - never did. 2-BMW's investigation determined the fire was result of the open recall. 3- South Shore GM -Avery- wants me to contact him now, 2 days after I write the review. Yet, I contacted South Shore 1 hour after the car burned & never heard from Avery until I reached out to him about 2 weeks after the fire. I was tired of the run around from BMW & Service Mgr was little assistance so I called dealership & asked for GM. Like I said before, if this is the customer service you want, you are at the right dealership. 12/22/22 update So BMW sends us a letter - Recall Campaign No. 21V-907: EGR Cooler - "We are pleased to inform you that we are ready to perform this recall" - BMW now has a remedy available to replace the EGR cooler & we are to contact our authorized BMW center immediately. Under the What could happen section " increasing risk of fire" - News flash - your 6 months late on your remedy & this car needs a lot more than an EGR cooler. Keep up the good work on the Ultimate Driving Experience

Wonderful Experience…!! Ordered a 2022 BMW 330e xdrive Msport(Sunset Orange) in Dec 2021 and the team did a wonderful job by handling all the paperwork and following up throughout the delivery. You are a BMW dealership!!!!! There is supposed to be a feeling of awe and incredible pride in that statement. I would say that you’re offering Hyundai level service at BMW pricing but that would be too cliche. A loaner car filled with animal hair/fur should be beneath you. How could that happen? It’s disappointing, disgusting, disrespectful, irresponsible, careless….well you get the idea. How can you be trusted to service my vehicle when you can even be trusted with the very basic task of giving a clean car? It’s not a mistake either, No. Trash found in the trunk after a customer brought back a sedan, yeah mistake, no one looked. The animal hair/fur was in cupholder, door panels and pockets, the ceiling, passenger seat and floor, rear seats and floor. The entire cargo area….you get the idea. That screams WE DONT CARE!!!! That vehicle was driven up by one of your teammates and parked inside carport before it was given to me. They saw it and didn’t care enough to take it back and replace it with something else or clean it before I got in. I was late taking my son to school so shame on me, ironically we were even more delayed after I had to clean off his clothing before I sent him to class. Little things matter, my time and health matter. Your actions were Disappointing, disgusting, disrespectful, irresponsible, careless….

We love our BMW x5. Hunter was a fantastic sales person. He kept us up to date at all times regarding the status of our vehicle as it was being built. He was thorough and professional and never pushy. On the day of pick up, car was registered and ready to go. We also were given a live tutorial for the basics and videos to reference which has been a big help as there is a learning curve with all the features. Overall great experience.

Had a scheduled maintenance appointment and the staff were beyond wonderful! They made the whole experience great. They did an excellent job on my car and were helpful thru the whole process keeping me updated while I waited. My family and I just moved to Plymouth so we highly recommend this BMW location! Want to again thank Jonathan, the service advisor, as well as the mechanics and front desk staff! Going to them from now on with all my car needs!

Went in to look at the new X5 M they didn’t have any on site so test drove an X5 M50i. Not my first BMW but the other is a backup car at one of our vacation homes. Greg my salesman was very accommodating and searched what the had incoming. We found the perfect spec checking almost everything I wanted. They put my name on that allocation and call me a week or so later to let me the car arrived. From there everyone and everything went perfect. Paperwork process easy, delivery and walkthrough of all the new options and functions and I was on my way. Highly recommend this dealer of your looking for a BMW.

My experience was great with the salesman and service tech that worked on my daughter's car ! What wrecked the whole experience was having me and my daughter's credit checked the night we test drove the car and decided to buy it was a decent interest rate.But after sitting down with the financing dept. And having them tell me they won't take my pre approved credit and then giving me and interest rate from a company for people with bad credit kind of wrecked the experience with the dealer ! Since i have excellent credit and expect for it to matter . I personally would of laughed in his face walked out, but my daughter had her heart set on that car ! So now I'm refinancing with a real bank ! I think you should let people know when you take there financial information and give them an interest rate it should not be a way to deceive them .Thanks I won't be back or refer your business to anyone

Planning/Scheduling can be better. I scheduled a service couple weeks ago and they gave me an appointment after 7 days and I waited. My appointment was at 10AM and I reached at 9:40AM to drop my car off. They did all the paper work and told me see you in the afternoon, so I went after work at 3:30PM and I was shocked to see that the they didn't even start the service. Close to 6 hours and didn't even start!! When I asked why did they waste an entire day even after getting an appointment; to that they replied "that is not what appointment is for, it is for dropping the car off" Well then why do they accept walk-in drop offs? which is basically same thing but much quicker, and had me wait 7 days to do the same thing! I understand stuff happens sometimes, I work under 2 miles from their location.If they offered drop off and pick up of my car next day, I'd still get the service and car detailing done with them. But they had absolutely no regrets, when I said I cant wait 7-8-9 hours they just handed me the keys and here you go. So basically, it was a complete waste of time going there.
