Lincoln, Ford’s luxury brand, was established in 1917 by Henry Leland, a former Cadillac president. Leland named the company in honor of President Abraham Lincoln. After acquiring Lincoln in 1922, Ford continued to expand the brand's product offerings, from extravagant coupes and sedans to its current lineup of crossovers and SUVs.

In recent years, Lincoln has undergone a resurgence, thanks to its focus on redesigning its SUV lineup. The 2017 return of the Continental marked the beginning of the brand's redesign and rebranding efforts. Following the Continental, Lincoln released the Nautilus, Aviator, and Corsair, all with updated designs and improved features.

One thing that sets Lincoln apart from its competitors is its focus on comfort, with models offering plush interiors and smooth rides. As Lincoln continues to evolve its product lineup, the brand has also retired its old three-letter model names in favor of more traditional titles. Today, the only remaining model using a three-letter name is the Lincoln MKZ mid-size sedan.
