Mitsubishi Motors Corporation, a Japanese automaker, is known for its affordable yet reliable cars and crossover SUVs. It is part of the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance and sells its products across the U.S. market. In recent years, Mitsubishi has streamlined its car lineup and discontinued models like the Lancer compact sedan and the Lancer Evolution, which was popular among enthusiasts.

Today, Mitsubishi's only remaining car model is the Mirage hatchback and Mirage G4 sedan, both of which offer excellent value for money. Meanwhile, the Outlander Sport, which was introduced in 2011, is one of the earliest subcompact SUVs and continues to be available. The Outlander, a larger compact SUV with three rows of seats, can accommodate up to seven passengers. The Eclipse Cross, a coupelike SUV, slots between the Outlander models and derives its name from the sporty Mitsubishi Eclipse car that was once popular in the U.S.
